hi, i have a passive 4 string sub, the other day it died, i checked the lead, i checked the amp, but it is the bass...

i opened the compartment where all the knobs go to, and there is a white wire that is connected to the volume knob, but its not connected to anything at the other end...

where should it go? what should i do?

I'd suggest getting to a store with a tech that figure out where that spare end goes, then solder it back there.

Good luck.

ive looked over the "circuit" and there is a broken solder joint on the part where you plug your lead in. Should there be a more than black wires connecting to that?

There should be 2 wires one is signal the other is earth (black).
If it is new take it back to the shop so they can fix it so it doesn't void your warranty if not have a crack your self

found out the problem, got it fixed, thanks ernieballers.

once and a while the part where i plug my lead in gets loose (the nut) and i tighten it, but when ive re tightened it, the twisting has put tension on the wire and snapped it...

all i had to do was take it in and they soldered it in like, 40 seconds :|
