Anyone please i need help with a guitar neck
i just joined this forum (should have done it long ago) from what ive seen and read its a very well run site unlike some of the others. and the post i have read the member seem helpful and respectful and not trash talking. i hope this qualify's for this site. i just bought a used OLP MM1,it has a lightly satin finish on the neck. what i am wanting to do is strip the neck and give it a gun stock oiled finish like my music man evh,axis and other EVH guitars i have. i am sure i can just sand it off, but before i do i was hoping to hear from someone that has done this before, and hear how theirs turned out. like if they regretted doing it or if it turned out good. so if anyone has done this or knows how to i am all ears. and any tips on how to get the best results would be helpful. also if anyone has converted their OLP over to a floyd rose set up and if so how were the results. or do you regret doing it? ive heard mixed reviews on doing that but am always wanting to hear more. thanks to anyone who responds to this.. wolfie
