Help with a song

[Road Pop]

Can anyone tell what effect is used at the 1:53 part of this song. (Little White Church - Little Big Town) My pc speakers aren't the greatest and I can't find anything online. I don't have any effects (if it is one LOL), and thought one of you might narrow it down easier.

Hmmmmmmmmmm... looks to me like an "embedding disabled by request" effect.

I think those are dicontinued now, but you can find them on eBay.

I'm also listening on crappy PC speakers but it just sounds like a hint of distortion.

Yep, sounds like a little bit of sweet tube grit, and I know of at least one stomp box that can sound like that: The EBS MultiDrive.
