hello, i want to buy a set of string for drop c on my 25.5in guitar,
i see people looking at thing like 11 and 12 and that's too much for me,
i was looking at the skinny top heavy bottom 2215 and i think it fits me,
the one problem i think is that the 5th string (would be a g) is 0.42, i currently use 0.9-.042 strings is standard tuning, tuning a 0.42 to a g isn't exactly like tuning my current low E, 3 semitones up?
that would make it extremely tense and maybe even snap!
can anyone explain this to me?

The .42 is actually the A String. The set is very nice for down tuning a guitar but i play that set in standard. hope that this helps :D

i don't think you got me,
i currently have 0.09-0.042 set tuned to EADGBE.
so the lowest string (6th) is tuned to E.
on the slinky top heavy bottom the 5th string is gauge 0.42, exactly like my current 6th.
by using drop c (CGCFAD) the 5th string would be tuned to G, and as it is 0.42 gauge just like my current 6th, the tension of that string would be equivalent to if i would tuned my current 0.42 6th string up 3 semitones to G.
can anyone explain this to me?
