HELP with my six day fashion project (The Ernie Ball Waistcoat)

Alright guys. I don't care if you slag off my current design because fashion is not a subject area that I can see myself following up next year. I just want to make this novety item of clothing for now and be done with it. I'm basically applying what I enjoy and require to the item and going on from there. This is one of my 6-day projects on my Art Foundation course at Kingston.

This is the piece of clothing as it is at the moment:

It's a waistcoat I bought from a charity shop that I've ripped the buttons off, replaced them with Jazz IIIs, put a guitar strap in there (this can be changed), and can also be adjusted, changed the colour (with many problems) from a crappy grey to black, added a built in wallet into the pocket (the white sticking on the front of the jacket resulted from this - soon to be made black stiching.)

Anyway, it's a fun project and the reason behind the making is 1. because I like guitars, 2. Want hidden pockets/wallets/zips etc. so that when approached by chavs, you can say you have nothing on you, because everything is hidden. If they don't pinch the waistcoat, you don't lose anything.

If you have any ideas that you think would be cool to add, whether it is stiching guitar strings to the front of the jacket or writing on it I'm open to suggestions as I realise many people's interests are similar to mine on the forum.

Cheers guys, Nick

Oh yeah forgot to mention, the photos make the guitar strap look a completely different shade of black to the black of the waistcoat. In real life the colour difference is almost nothing; just shows up more in the photos with the flash.

Chavs?

I assume that's a British term for bad guys.

Ah yes sorry about that. Yeah a chav or a pikie are the english terms for the undecent people there are in the world. They are the kind who start fights for no reason and just generally torment people.

Nick

Any ideas will be much appreciate them, however crazy they are.
