can anyonehelp me?? im new to the guitar..And i just bought some ernie ball super slinky strings 9-42's..How do i know where to put each string on the right note on the guitar..Can you put them anywhere and then tune the strings to there right note?? im so lost..They didnt come color coded ..I would appreciate the help :)

Lay the guitar on a table. Stand so that the end of the body of the guitar is closest to you, the neck pointing away from you. As you are looking at the guitar the strings go from thick to thin from left to right. They are numbered in order of thickness, 42 is the thickest, 9 is the thinnest. So the strings go on your guitar, from left to right as follows... 42 - 32 - 24 - 16 - 11 - 9

If you don't know how to put them on and get the guitar in tune, you should perhaps go a local music store or guitar teacher and ask them to show you. Lot of videos on online too.

Seconded on the youtubing. You can even find tuning notes on there.

did you take the strings out of their individual envelopes yet? If not that can help you keep them straight in terms of which is which.
