Help with Valentine battery cover

Just reading about people looking for replacement battery covers because it's easy to break. I can't find the manual (user support) anywhere.Just how are you supposed to open the little bugger.

It's a bugger! I've got same and just broken the catch so trying to find a replacement which is difficult in the UK wondering whether the

Welcome, here is a older link that might help, there is not much info. They used to send a diagram on it years ago, I'll look and see later if I still have one and scan it.

Battery compartment hard to open?

One of my Bongo battery "doors" is very hard to open. I really have to stand on the tab to get open..sometimes, using a flat screwdriver to push down the tab and pry open. Anything I can do to loosen it up? I had it apart last night and there was nothing obvious. Worried that in time, I'll break...
