Hi!

I have a strange problem on my old Luke with Floyd. I have this fret buzz on the high e from the 5 fret to an open string. The strange thing is that it will not go away even with ridiculous neck relief. At first it was only when I played the string open, but now it seems to stretch up to around the 5th fret. I don´t know what do to, because on my other Luke with floyd it´s just fine, even with super low action and a very straight neck.

Btw, I have installed 6105 frets on both guitars that are fairly new.

do you have a 6" straight edge to check your frets ?

also....... look closley at the fret ends along the side of the neck..& look for any unseating.
is it buzzing on the bass side ? treble side ? both ?

Yeah...Tommy is right..new frets sometimes pop up...Look for that, plus it is worth every penny to buy a 6" steel rule. you can measure your string height, use it as a straight edge etc.
