I thought i was the only one that doesnt like matching headstocks. I dont mind them on newer EB's, but man id take a birdseye headstock from the 90's anyday.

Beware young bass players
Yep you and me both them birdseye headstocks look fantastic! I had an old red stingray years ago that had the most gorgeous birds eye neck I have ever seen with a similar headstock, But I sold it because some geek in my band commented I should sell it because ther was a huge 'hole' in the sound compared to my 1963 fender precision...Like a sheep I sold her for a pitance god knows why God I wish I still had that bass, she was my first Stingray and played like a Chris Squire studio session ah well I just put it down to the folly of youth.....Beware all of you young Musicman bass players out there once you find your dream cherish it...believe me i've been there.
