Actually - it's phenomenal. And I'm being serious. This is one amazing sounding guitar. It's more smooth sounding (think traditional LP tone) than an Axis, but covers a whole lot of the same gound. Of course, it has a 3-way toggle and the tone pot is push pull - so you get some very nice SC sounds as well. Better than when I had installed a push/pull in my Axis (probably because the Navarro is designed to do that and the Axis isn't). And it plays so smoothly. And the finish work - right up there in top notch quality with EBMM for sure. It's the one I always reach for first right now (sorry swirly JP), at least until the AL arrives!

An interesting note though - I went and saw The Panic Channel here on the 1st, and first of all - what an awesome band! I had no idea who Chris Chaney was before the show, but I certainly do now - that guy is a monster on the bass. Just wow!!

Anyways, some of the guitars Dave was using (2 of the three of them) had been fitted with 5 ways instead of the 3 way/push/pull tone config that comes standard on his model. I just thought that was curious. He seemed to really only use the bridge pickup in humbucker mode most of the time anyway.

But I digress (BUT - if you get a chance GO SEE The Panic Channel - awesome show!). Excellent guitar and looks gorgeous. Certainly tiding me over until AL arrives.

Man that AL has some stiff competition to live up to !!!

I have never played a PRS and that model was the one that truly caught my eye. Partly because I always loved Navarro's playing and partly because it is just a gorgeous guitar.
