If I understand your question, then I suppose I could've used a heavier simulation to illustrate its abilities to go to heavier sounds...

I think this pickup has this growl at the bottom end that I couldn't find in the Paf Pro, and it's also true for JB btw, both of them lack bottom to my opinion.

It's much easier for me to get this chug with the pick using this pickup because it has this top end that allows it, I couldn't get it with the Paf Pro.

I think the sound got fuller, and it certainly sounds better to me in clean settings. The SD's output isn't necessarily higher than the Paf Pro but its just voiced totally different and that makes the difference to me.

I always found the Duncans more organic sounding than Dimarzio, but then, I could probably get a real kick a!$ tone from a different Dimarzio pup, but since I already have too many SD pickups in my drawer, I see no point in buying another pickup.
