I bought my own birthday present, that way you get what you want! No more ill fitting shirts, funky colored underwear or crappy neckties for me! (…not that I wear clothes anyway…)

I seen this the other day in my daily search for more EBMM basses, it was in stock, it had everything I wanted, matching head stock, tort and vintage sunburst. But most of all it will be here before Friday, the big 5-0!

It can be viewed here, just scroll down to bottom… If they haven’t removed it, otherwise you’ll have to wait for my pictures!

The Perfect Bass - bass guitars, amps and accessories for every player!

Fifty might not be so bad after all. :D

Must be getting old, Chuck, we must be getting old - my on-order SR5 is a burst, too.

Hey, I'll be right back, I have to chase some kids off my yard.

Wow she is absolutely stunning!!
Only problem, everything is upside down LOL

And dont worry about the fifty thing... I am forty-ish and a lot into the "burst" thing,
I think EBMM makes some of the finest instruments out there, and so beautiful they are almost impossible to resist...

Great score Chuck. Don't worry about the 50 thing. It is 51 where the left handed all turn into right handers. :D

BP, so you’re confirming Tom’s theory? Crap, what the hell am I going to do with a bunch of useless lefty basses?

I know… LOVE THEM!!!! :D

I know I’m beating myself up over this 50 thing… and I’m not sure why. I do remember my worst birthday, 27! I was always told and lead to believe I was very talented for my age. I always gigged with the older cats and held my own, but at 27 it caught up with me, from there on out I was just average for my age. I don’t know if this makes any sense at all, but it messes with me. I mean, I should be a better musician, I should have done more. Sure I had some success, made some great money, seen a lot of places, but, but…

Things could be a lot worse and I am thankful for what I have, I mean hell, I’m getting one offs from the best instrument maker in the world, but I should have done more with the music. I’m drinking too much and that doesn’t help… I do know that.

But my family health history isn’t a glowing future, if I continue along my family’s path I don’t have much more that 10 years ahead of me. I could and hope, be wrong.

Well anyway, there is a beautiful Sterling coming to my house Thursday and to hell with the future, I’m going to be happy… damn it! :D

*I sense I'll be deleting this tomorrow*

Actually do with it what you want but I like that as "virtual pals" you express this "psycho babble"

Chuck why dont you remember your best birthday? Why dont you make your 50th your best? I know this sounds funny but the world is consumed with this youth stuff and you and I are about as young as they come. We just cant play a young guy on tv.

If a gun was put to my head I wouldnt really want to go back...sure I could have paid a little more attention to certain people and places.....but its done and now I get to look forward to watching my kids develop and grandkids and figuring out how to pay uncle sam when I die.

How much would you pay to have your perspective today at 27? I can't see, hear, or run as fast but I think Im a little deeper and that is my comensating saving grace.

Here is a challenge for your 50th. Make a difference in one kids life through music and your knowledge........maybe two...mentor someone that has similar talent and dreams that you had........If you take me up on that let me know how good that feels.

Funny....at 27(pushing 28) i tell myself this very same thing, in regards to 21. I welcome the wealth of knowledge and sense of perspective coming over the next 23 years!

Very good idea....
