If your S/N is taken from the Simpsons, You have to start every post with "Hello Everybody!" If not, disregard...Nice bass, and welcome!

Thanks, tk! She definitely inspires me to play and play and play...

The original pickguard was white, but I thought the t-shell looked so much better on the "Build an Instrument" site, I just had to get one!

Whew, that is sweet. I love the tort guard on that trans orange.

Great lookin bass, and welcome. :D

Thanks! I am asking myself why it took me so long to connect with EB basses..."Where have you been all my life?"!!!!

I am a big Leo Fender fan (I've got a P-Bass and a real nice strat). I've always loved the vibe and feel of Fenders... IMO, the Sterling has the best of the classy vintage vibe and serious modern horsepower under the hood! It's nice to be able to leave my EQ flat on the amp, not having to boost dead frequencies or cut bad ones! Just turn up the volume and tweak the EQ on the bass! Sweet!

agreed ... the Sterling, as you've discovered, is awesome

It most certainly is! I've always felt that a really good instrument brings out the best in your playing, and the Sterling has that quality in spades!

To quote my favorite guitarist "This one goes to eleven!" ;)

You just know when it's the right one to buy. It's like the bass chooses you, and there is no doubt! It happened with my honeyburst Stingray. I've owned her for 1.5 years and I still can't keep my hands off of her. There are some aspects about other basses I like more and sometimes my eyes stray, but I always seem to pick up the Stingray first.

Congratulations on your Sterling.

Thanks!

I once heard someone refer to their favorite instrument as their "coffin bass", in that they would like to be buried with it...a little morbid, but perhaps an accurate description of the relationship between a musician and their favorite instrument.

The thing I can relate to is walking into a store and seeing that EB bass hanging there then looking around at the other basses there. Well it is a no contest choice.

Even my wife agreed with what I said. That .... well that was amazing too( don't happen often) but the best part is she bought mine for me 4 months after I said that is the bass there.

I really like yours and I would have said the same thing to the wife if it were hanging in the store like the one I have was.

That is one sexy bass ya got there. I am hearing the Keith Urban of " I'm gonna love ya" Every time I look at those pics.

I agree, but I also like the way my white pearl guard looks with the Maple board. Yay for Trans Orange! :D

TRANS ORANGE UBER ALLES!!!!

That white pearloid you have is VERY sweet! I considered the Wh. Pearloid, but my baby came with regular white (not nearly as nice), so I thought shell or black pearloid would be more of a radical change than White Pearl...

Abalone would probably look cool as well! I may just have to get a complete wardrobe :D

IT's FRIDAY!!!! FINALLY I CAN JAM!!!! :p
