There is a solid RW neck Sterling HS @ Bass Central. Looks beautiful.
Back in the day I had a Sterling H, maple neck so I'm familiar with the azz kickin' tone

What's the good bad and ugly of the one piece RW neck? :D

nothing but good as far as i see it :)
the wood feels warm to touch.. it looks heavenly.. it changes the sound a bit and also moves the spots on the neck that you need to be careful with. on my rw bongo its one fret lower than on my regular bongo

just the looks of it makes me want to eat it like a big chocolate.. hehe

I am also a fan of the rosewood necks. The feel is wonderful...it almost has an oily feel to it. The rosewood grain is very attractive and some examples have really beautiful stripes.

i have not had any issues with mine.
i live on 69 degrees north and in winter it gets really really dry up here. no fret sprouts and just subtle neck movements.

i cannot say how it would respond to high humidity conditions though, but for my climate its all good :)

What do you mean one fret lower?

the notes that doesnt ring out so well as the others..
they are a half note lower (eg c# instead of d on the g string)

mind you the bongo doesnt have dead spots like you might find on some other bolt on basses. the nuances are way more subtle but they are still there :)

I have a rosewood neck Bongo 4H and I have not had a single issue with it at all. I think the OP would love the all rosewood neck.

No bad and certainly no ugly. I play a BFR SR5. I use EB flats and the sound is amazing. It is a heavy piece, not sure if the solid Rosewood has anything to do with it.

Thanks for the intel folks.
I live in FL with tons of humidity, thus wondering about if neck adjustments in order with a wood other than maple.
