Comparing apples to oranges. Keep in mind, the "versus" thing....it's not a cage fight...lol...

Suhr is an awesome guitar...good quality from what I have seen and heard. Just a different animal than an EBMM.

EBMM is, in my opinion, top of the line in build quality, playability, Customer Service and what not. The Axis is an awesome guitar and it has it's own personality. EBMM's have their own voice and the signature guitars are what the artists want in them.

Just like any guitar or bass...it is a tool. It is up to the individual to make it work. I have seen dudes take a F**der starter strat and smoke a guy with a Private Stock PRS....so keep that in mind.

I personally don't own a Suhr...I keep spending my money on EBMMs....but, that is me...but, I could not honestly say the Suhr is a bad guitar....in fact, it is a great guitar from what I have seen and heard. I just prefer an EBMM.

I think Balls are of better quality. I have only played 3 Suhrs though. I've played every EBMM model but the Luke.

I think that Colin's point is that this is an EBMM forum filled with EBMM fanatics. We're most likely not going to say that an EBMM is not as good as another guitar. We will generally favor the EBMM guitar. So, he's saying that it's kind of pointless to ask us to compare an EBMM to another guitar. Our fanaticism is not just about the guitars and basses. We are also loyal to the people who make up the company. If there is a dispute or disagreement, we will side with EBMM. Always. Okay...almost always. There have been exceptions, but those who remain here, I suspect, are the loyalists.

Some might say things like what Koogs said. Some aren't going to have any input whatsoever, because they couldn't care less about Suhr or any other manufacturer. They are happy with their EBMMs and just don't care at all about anything else. Some have never even tried a Suhr. Some have probably never even seen a Suhr except in pictures.

I have seen a Suhr at The Amp Lounge, Bruce Egnater's store. I have seen a couple in Reb Beach's hands. I have never played one. I don't really have the interest in trying one out, because I'm happy with what EBMM does and with what EBMMs cost. Suhr guitars just seem too expensive for me. I have heard that Suhr makes good guitars, but I can't reassure you that a Suhr will be as good as an EBMM. I just don't know the answer. I think that's a question you can only answer for yourself.

Besides, this is an EBMM forum, paid for by EBMM. It is meant for discussion of EBMM products, not really other products. I would not be surprised if the moderators lock this thread for that reason.

^ Reb Beach could make about any guitar rock.

I've heard great things about Suhr, but +1 on what Rob said... we are very bias and extremely loyal to this company. Maybe you can compare them when you get it and tell us what you think

Listen dont get messed up over this but let me tell you that I Hate the whole "VS" thing.
It is really not in the spirit of playing in my opinion. "OR" works better. Whichever floats your boat and makes you play and sound the best...thats why it is hard to ask such subjective advice (especially on a corporate forum). John Suhr makes really good guitars....has for a long time.

because i have been using balls for years and so happy about them. I sold my esp and ibanez to go for ernieball. This time I just wana get something different. So i chose Suhr. I was asking if Suhr can be as good as balls.

If this cauz any misunderstanging, I am really sorry for that.
