Just found it for a pal of mine. Looks in great shape (p/g still has the plastic!) and a good price too. I'll have to get him involved in the forum now!!! :D :D :D

You did good. Is there any such thing as a bad EB bass for a beginner?

Well now I'm getting nervous. The seller has feedback of (1) positive. He answered my e-mailed questions early on very promptly but now he hasn't responded since about an hour after I made the PayPal payment on Thursday, 12-23. He still hasn't picked up the payment from PayPal so I could cancel but I'd like to trust him AND I'd like to keep my 100% e-bay rating intact. The other thing that unsettles me is that his telephone number that ebay provided me is disconnected. The worst part of it is that it's for a friend of mine not me!!! Is it too early to panic?
What would you do.....

You might think about rescending payment until you hear from him since it hasn't been accepted. Then send him and e-mail telling him that you will send payment again when you hear back from him. That's a long time without an answer to your e-mails.

I had a similar experience last week.
I'd give him a bit more time - folks are busy this time of year.
Don't worry about the disconnected phone, he's probably
selling the bass to pay his phone bill :)

Larry I took your advice. Still haven't heard from him yet so I pulled the PayPal plug. Weird that he hadn't accepted payment yet. Maybe he just decided against selling it. Or maybe he was abducted by aliens. :p Anywho I e-mailed him and gave him til Saturday to send the bass or the deal was off. :(

You may never know what happened. He might just be out of town for the holidays, but you think he would have told you that he would be in the previous emails that he answered. At least you left the door open for him.

Well the saga continues. Just got an e-mail that he was confused  but will ship the bass today. We'll see.....

I noticed that it is the first thing he's sold on Ebay so maybe he is confused about the way it works. The other thing I noticed is that now Ebay lists him as "not a registered user". I would definitely check into that.
