Boys we have to win the war one buffoon at a time. You know I'm fine with anyone that doesnt like something for themselves but when because it isnt for them it is categorically bad and "sucks" and then they list their gear and I cant help but chuckle. Im not gonna make fun of Peavey......Im trying not to make fun of Peavey..............BOngos weren't made with Peavey players in mind ...thats as far as I will go......

Maybe this is why I find myself overrun with Bongos and....wait, let me see how many Peavey basses I have....none in the closet....none in the studio....nothin' up my sleeve....hell, maybe I'm just not a Peavey Shaped Object kind of guy.

Also, regarding TB, I always have to mention that we have two TB moderators here (and numerous members) and they are fine, upstanding guys who do the best they can over there. And they play EBMMs. And I like them.

In other words, they don't suck.

the 'big time' is two words, isn't it?

TB is great for the most part. Its just when you are that big of a site, the number of dimwits grows exponentially. If this board was as large and popular as TB then I am sure we would have are share of morons here too.

I chimed in. First Talkbass post, I believe. I feel all icky now. I'm fighting the urge to say things like w00t and meh; and the use of numeral substitution for those long, long wordses.

Must be something about adding "the Great" to your moniker that robs you of 'vision'.

Some guy named Alexander did that, and then he went and cried that there were no more worlds to conquer.. when he had only seen a small chunk of this one. ;)

There's no converting someone with their head that far up. ;)

Hmm, think of how powerful I would be if I added "the Great" to my already impressive title!

Unfortunately, you guys already know me.

Imo, Jack had the right idea. Have a little fun with it, and try to enlighten the person to a (perhaps) better posting style. But no post (worded like HTG's) should be taken seriously.

HTG seems like a decent enough chap, but he does have quite a 'net presentation. Also, while it matters little in this debate, he is quite a fan of 'Rays in gen'l.

Every forum has it's "colorful" posters. As we all know, if you don't feed them, they either go away or learn how to "play better with others", even if it's only virtually. I hope Heath hangs around, and can contribute to TB.

Diversity is the optimal model, it can just be a painful road getting there...

That was a very interesting read.....Bovinehost....nice reply. I like it. Looks like it is covered over there on TB, no need for me to stir the hornets nest....

BTW, the bongo my buddy borrowed from me for his show went on without a hitch (as expected) and my buddy is going "bonkers over bongos" as we speak. To add to the ever increasing mass of people I have helped convert....actually, the bongo did it, there are up to now 9 peeps calling me about the bongo. Most are musicians in the area who saw my buddy's show and were floored by the bongo. The loved the tone, shape and just the over all presence of the bass on stage. Now I have a bunch of guys wanting to come to my house to play it........deviants! :D

I feel a mass "ordering" getting ready to happen.....as I will lead them to the golden cup and let them take a sip.......hehehehehe....I'll share....LOL

BTW to all out there....Bongos do suck! They suck the life out of you ever wanting to play another bass other than EBMM's!

I have been playing mine so much....(the JP's are getting worried)...that I might be after another one.......decisions, decisions, decisions......man, I like that kind of predicament!

Jack,

As someone who knows you a little, I'd be agreeable to "Jack the Really, Really Good".

:)
