Hey lads, I have a Sub1 with a trem, and I'm having a tad bit of difficulty with my hi-E string. When I play it, using my thumb in the parallel-to-my-fingers-position, I find I am pulling the string right off the frets...now when I play with my thumb hooked over the top of the neck, I don't have this problem...now obviously, people will say, to play using the second method, but I can get a better stretch using the first method...thanks!

Raz,

Honestly, try to play with a lighter touch.. i.e. don't push so hard on the strings.
I have an Ibanez where I used to push the 1st string off just like you're describing. I concentrated on playing with a lighter touch and now I can play that baby without ever pushing #1 overboard.

Y'know, you're absolutely right, cause last night I really noticed it while playing it unplugged...and I guess I was playing a little harder than usual...thanks!

Good to see another SUB1 user satisfied!
I love my SUB1, I'll tell you something...I read a review for a Sili. Special and the guy said that he loved his EBMM so much that it inspired him to play and be more creative...and that's exactly what the SUB1 has done for me...
