Hughes and kettner Triamp Combo (hard to find and expensive)

As u all can se I'm looking for a combo.. and i havent got to mouch money to spend either:(
I would really love a all Tube amp but I start to think that i may need to reconsider about the Tube amp question.

If there is anyone who has got any idea or suggestion please help me out here.

Right now I'm thinking Line 6 flextone Xl but i don't know... need some help!

I don't know where this fits into your budget but a Mesa MK IV combo can really do it all. I have the head & a cab but the combos rock! :D

I have a Boogie DC 5 which is an awesome amp, the clean channel is stunning and the gain side is good too although a lot better with a Boss Overdrive in front.
Great amp that would suit your needs but it may be a bit too loud, mine is and that's a big problem for me, that and the fact I lug a huge pedalboard around :( .

I've been thinking of getting a Flex III XL myself or even a Flex III plus with extension cab, better stereo spread and more bottom end if you stack them. I've been thinking about a HD147 too

You may want to check around for a Fender Prosonic combo. They're discontinued now, but their main selling point was a sparkly clean channel and a very aggressive overdrive channel.

I found two heads on eBay - Here's one:

One

and another:

Another

I think the Mesa isn't just right for me right now since i dont want to use to many pedals. the only ones i will use will be a Boss dd3 and a cry baby.

The Koch is to expensive to.

I think that i will go for the Flextone II xl.. I can get one for about 520$.
The flextones are better than the spiders right??

I sure hope i can live with a Flextone II xl until i can afford a ENGL Screamer!

Does anyone got any opinions about the Flextone II xl?

If you are thinking of going the Engl route, I would recommend the Soverign. It has 4 channels that more or less cover everything that would woudl ever need. However they are a bit pricey (in the uk anyhow). I paid £1600 for the 1x12" combo, 1x12" extension cab and floor board.

BTW where are you from in Sweden?

Tim O'Sullivan I live i Hälsingland (sweden) If you know where that is.. somewhere in the middle.

I'm going for the Flextone II xl... And i hope that I'll get it this week
I'll tell you guys what i think of it later, I really hope that it will satisfy me.

I had a Flextone II XL for about a year. I bought it when everyone was raving about how cool the new digital modeling was. It's pretty cool. If you're a tube player usually then you'll grow to hate it. If you're not used to tubes, you'll probably be in heaven for a long time. I loved mine for about nine months. During the "love" period I used every model and tweaked and copied tones and had a great time. For some reason, about nine months in out of the blue I started noticing how the amp felt. For months I'd been so impressed with how many tones and styles that it would cover that I just played along without caring. After the novelty wore off though, I started realizing it's shortcomings. The feel isn't there. The tone sucks at louder than bedroom volumes. No matter what you plug into it is will sound the same. That was a big suck for me. I could plug a stock tele into it and it would sound the same as a neckthrough with EMG's in it!

To be fair you may never come to dislike it. I sold mine to my drummer and he loves it still. :)

Hey Victor, take a look at a Crate Vintage Club 60. Great clean channel, and decent high gain(probably need a Tube Screamer). It has a lot of nice bells and whistles like Mid-boost, Low- boost, and bright switches. 2x12 60 watt combo under 700 bucks.

I'd check out a Laney VH100R if you can, i got mine this weekend for £600 from my local store. Laney sent it to them just so i could try it.

Turns out its awesome.

I've only had it on as loud as 2, and that was loud enough to drown out the biggest music store in my area. Its probably not the highest gain amo that you'll ever find, but for the cash, it really is the business. In my opinion, it out tones my 5150 right now, with the added advantage of 4 channels(clean/light distortion/heavy distorion/solo), 5 effects loops, 5 outputs, and two carrying handles!!!! Its even lighter than my 5150!

have a look at http://www.laney.co.uk/html/products/valve/VH100R.htm

and when i get a chance i'll put some sound clips together for youse guys...

which gives me an idea......
