Question Hi, I'm new and my Sterling is rusty

Firstly, a wealth of knowledge on this board. Very informative and entertaining reading. I am quite chuffed to be part of it.

Secondly, a question if I may,my trusty Sterling, that has served me dutifully for 15years has some rust and corrosion on the bridge springs.
Any tips for removing it, and also from preventing it from coming back. Does Dr Duck's Axe Wax work protecting metal.

Where can we get this stuff from? i've got a couple of tiny patches of rust on my SUB bass bridge just under the string holes at the back and i don't want them to spread
