Hello all,

Proud new owner of a Sterling Silver Fully Loaded JP7. So far so good, but I do have an issue with the bridge that I hope somebody may be able to help with.

Currently my High E string is perfectly intonated. However, this position is so close to the post, that the saddle hits it on a moderately low dive and rides against it all the the way down. Because it's being lowered it gets push back on the dive, and then pops back into place on return (stays in tune, believe or not). I'm going to assume this is not right! I have restrung the guitar to see if the intonation was set for a bum string, but no lock.

A few suggestions from the JP board were to see if there was a gap between the neck and the pocket (which I don't believe there is) or to raise the saddles and lower the bridge. I haven't gotten to try this yet, but I'm not sure that'll gain me the clearance as the trem posts are already quite low into the body.

Here's a really low quality (all I've got) image to show you guys where it currently sits:

Thanks guys! Loving the guitar so far, just a little too nervous to be whammy-ing just yet...

Oh believe me, I will be if I can't get this sorted. The problem though is that it's a 3-day weekend for them and me. I'd like to try and get this sorted while I have the time to fiddle with it! However, advice heeded.

Just out of curiousity.

I'd say it's right where it should be. What that measurement is I'm not sure I don't have a ruler, but it looks and feels right. Is there some correlation I should check into?
