High gloss polyester Vs. Satin Finish

Has anyone ever sanded down a High gloss polyester finish? If so, any pic's and opinions? Music Man ever talk about releasing Satin Finished Guitars? In more recent times, Has the High gloss polyester been thicker than in the past? Do people agree or not that Satin Finishes age more gracefully? Do High gloss polyester Guitars age gracefully?

Satin finishes are the same material and thickness as a high gloss. If you get a satin finished guitar and actually play it a bit, the wear spots will become high gloss. I have a non-ebmm guitar that's natural mahogany with a satin finish and where I anchor my fingers to pick, it's completely gloss now. I know some other manufacturers have recently introduced satin finishes and I just shake my head when I hear that someone has ordered one.

yeah my stealth bongo is a satin finish and I love as much as my EBMM guitar

I remember having an early 90's Silhouette with a satin finished neck.

I also remember trying my best to remove that finish. Whatever EBMM was using back then, it was almost impossible to take off.
