:D That won't start until about 1PM. Afternoon delivery according to UPS . That 2nd wall hanger in my man cave needs something hanging from it and the PDN Silo needs some company. It's been a LONG time since I had two guitars to play. :)

Hey... wait just a tick.... I thought you just -almost- had to sell the Silo...???
Now you've got another on the truck?
Sounds like things are looking up over there...

Yes :).

This one is a grand child of an EBMM. All I could swing :). Pics forthcoming. It needs some TLC. Where's Brian's number....ah, there it is.

So - being the fan of a good 'ole dive bomb once in a while I had to add such a guitar to the stable (it is the 2nd guitar I own :)). Being on EXTREMELY limited fundage I sought out and found this nice one in the GC used section for a steal. Got out the Dunlop 65 guitar polish, EB polishing cloth and the wonder wipes (yes they worked fine even though the neck has a very thin sealer on it - fb feels unfinished) and some elbow grease and it looks really nice. The neck and fret board have some nice grain. I still have to string it up but wanted to get a few pics up before the daylight leaves. Pictures make it more blue than it really is. More blue-green to my eye.

Another note - of course it came without the tremolo bar so I have to wait on one from SBMM (very nice of them to send me one). So no divebombs until next week :(.

Thanks - time for a few thoughts now that the strings are on and I've played it for about an hour. I read review after review about how these things are ridiculous guitars for the $. Boy, is that the truth! Yes, it has a photo top and yes it's not the oil and wax blend finished neck we've come to know and love (I can change that and likely will eventually with some steel wool :)) but this guitar is great! Neck is smooth and frets very nice.
Even though this thing was used and abused during its life at GC (it still had the plastic on the back covers) all it took was the aforementioned TLC and it's a nice rocker I can have some fun with. I had to level the bridge out as the front was WAY higher than the back. I leveled it out and retuned and that did the trick in terms of lowering the action nicely. I'll also have to intonate it as a few of the strings need it. It's pretty close though. The neck radius and shape are a nice contrast to the Silo PDN - along with the standard nickel frets. Those will get some work eventually as well methinks. One other thing - they did a GREAT job on the pickups! They don't need changing!

:)

Did a search and found a post from last October where somebody asked about adjusting the bridge on the AX4. Wouldn't you know it but mine was in the exact same state as his was - raised up off of the body and angled from front to back. So, cranked down the posts and the trem claw screws to get the bridge almost flush with the body and nice and level and WOW did the guitar come to life! Intonation is now spot-on and the action is nice and no buzzing either! Amazing what an adjustment like that can do! :)
