The Tascam USB Interfaces have a special Instrument Hi-Z Input. My US-144 has and i think the US-122 has also. The Original Poster is from Belgium, if I remember right. Look at Thomann.de. They have good Pricecs on Interfaces.

Try only with the Interface first. A DI Box is a nice Tool to have, also on Stage sometimes, but in this Case of Recording it´s not necessary. I sometimes use my Radial Bassbone in Front of the Interface, but more for Soundshaping and thats also a Thing you can handle good in the Cubase EQ

Thomann is good, but the shop in a town nearby has te same prices, so I'm thinking to get the Tascam US122 II, heard nothing but good reviews and it comes at a good price to start

You can't go wrong buying a US-122.
