Hey there,

does anyone have both and could do a side-by-side shot for me?

I sometimes have a hard time telling the two colors apart...if anyone has some representative shots of any of these...post 'em here!

Ya know, I could look through my pic collection and I would not be able to tell them apart. I should have it more organized...
but I’m lazy. I have them sorted by model, not colours.

Some Honey Burst look just like Cherry Burst. Its hard to tell them apart.

Pretty sure the fogman is a lot more organized.

I don't post pics of my bass too often (or play it that often for that matter), but it's a nice honeyburst.

Subtle difference, I am just a bit more partial to cherryburst. Just a bit warmer to me.

Like travs said, both are fantastic! I believe that the honeyburst is more kinda yellow/orange and got a "smudgier" feel while the cherry is yellow/orange/red and a more straight forward fade from glaring and sharp egdes to a light and bright middle.

Looking at my honeyburst right now and not seeing any yellow. Its orange fading to a reddish-orange outline. And I'm sober, too....well, mostly.

Wow they really are very similar and the slight difference to me is the redish hue around the the edge, but I can easily see anyone making that mistake and confusing the colors.

Thanks for all the posts so far...have to admit I still couldn't tell them apart without you guys posting what it is.

The whole point in this is that I'm toying with the idea of ordering a ht piezo Albert in cherryburst...and I'm a little worried it'll be somewhat similar to my honeyburst AL.

I'm not sure about honeyburst being more yellow/orange...mine definitely doesn't lack red...

...but I guess you're right about it being a bit "smudgier" and cherryburst being brighter overall.

metalmarty, to me your Silo looks honeyburst and not cherryburst

(edit: correction...being an older one with the Floyd Rose I guess it would have been the original sunburst?
lol all very confusing:confused::D)

on the bass side the "what color is this" sticky has pics of cherryburst, honeyburst and the original MM suburst

1 + 3 look closer to me than 1 + 2 but so many variables I guess with pics of guitar finishes
