Is it one craftsman who constructs a guitar in its entirety, or more of an assembly line procedure where each person has a specialty?

There are a lot of people involved in making each instrument. So, given your two phrases I'd go with "assembly line" even though that sounds so impersonal.

I'm actually happy with the EBMM approach because not everyone is good at all aspects of guitar construction. You might have a gifted painter or woodworker, who is not necessarily good with electronics. You get the idea.

For example, the guy who did the fretwork on my Petrucci is amazing. I'm glad he spends his days doing fretwork because he's really awesome at it. If he had to run off and solder pickup wiring or spray polyester coatings, he would not have as much fretwork experience.

And I'm not trying to be sexist by saying "he" in the above paragraph. I actually met the dude at the EB Open House last September! :)

No, no Colin you remember they are made by little elves. Oops sorry we are talking about Las Vegas right???

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

You guitar man was made at one of the most excellent places on the face of the planet!! The people that work there are so cool and friendly that you would have thought that you want to the Land of Oz!!! And the Wizard, well he about the most generous guy you'll ever meet. Point in case, on any other guitar forums does the CEO post on a daily basis??? I think not.

Enjoy that JP they are awesome. I was mess around with mine last night, oooo it felt sooo good!!!! :D

How are EBMM guitars built at the factory?

Lots of plaster.
Lots of spackle.

Hope this helps.
Is the word your looking for.... "Bondo"?

No that's the new bass

No No No that's "Bongo"

I guess I don't know. I just know I love them and wouldn't dream of playing anything else. Because Koogie can figure out where I live.

Thanks man.....

Yes NorM, I could find you if I really wanted to. But, it would only be for a lesson or two and maybe a nice jam session.

Ditto on that.

I was amazed to see that Pete DuBaldo is so young--for some reason I thought he was an old geezer like me.

There are only two people named Peter DuBaldo in the US. One was born in 1918 and the other in 1980. So you are right, but wrong - one is 87 and the other is 25. :D

To give you an idea of how "seasoned" I am, when I had my bar mitzvah, Jimi Hendrix was still alive.
