how do i clean grimy,filthy maple neck ?

hey guys, i just bought my second stingray 5 it is from 1992, incredible growly, punchy tone, but the maple neck is really flilthy, what can i use to clean it up , it has 16 years of grime, it doesnt look like it was ever cleaned,waht cann i use??

If it is really dirty get some 0000 steel wool, clean it with it, oil it, wax it, and it will be like new.
Just don't go crazy with the steel wool.

I know how you feel. My SR4 has 18 years of grime on the back of the neck!
