How do I know if.....

my JP6 has a compensated nut? What do I need to look for? The DOB was 31/10/06.

If your nut is compensated, there will be tiny notches in the nut below the string slots. Do a search on "compensated nut"-there are numerous pictures of them floating around here.

can you take a photo "looking down" onto the nut and post it?
My guess is that it is a compensated nut.
I have one on my AL and Tele.
