Hi,

I wanted to install a push-pull tone pot on my Sterling JP70 to split the humbuckers, but I was thinking about the switching of my Ibanez guitars and the one thing I like is the 2nd position of the 5-way switch where the coils of the neck humbucker are switched parallel.
Now - as opposed to a regular coil tap switching -I would like to have the same thing on my JP70 with a 3-way toggle switch so it would have the following sounds:
position 1 : neck humbucker in normal humbucking mode (as it is now)
position 2 : coils of neck humbucker switched parallel
position 3 : bridge humbucker in normal humbucking mode (as it is now)

Would something like this be possible? If yes, how would I have to wire this?
I looked through the DiMarzio and guitarelectronics.com wiring diagrams but could not find a diagram for this particular wiring.

Thanks,
Lars

Thank you very much!

I had found those as well, but they use one switch just for one pick-up.
I want to do this with just one three way toggle switch.
DiMarzio has a special kind of three way that should work for this (it has 12 lugs on the back as opposed to three). I have one of those, they are also used to have a split function in the middle position on the MusicMan Petrucci guitars.
I just need to know how to wire it.
