Can it be done?

Do you just have to keep it in the case all the time?

I'm thinking about picking up that blue 95...or the un-faded purple on ebay.

if i get the purple, i want to keep it purple! :)

Any suggestions?

hmm I'm only speculating but I think it's fading because of the sunlight and stuff like that, if you would practise in the dark room you will be fine:D

pull the trigger man!! most of the fades is from showin' off on displays, and playing many regular gigs in the heavy sunlight and reflectors etc. IMO you can't go wrong with them if you keep them in case when not playing,

God bless,

I think what's been said about sunlight and such is a good idea. The fact that the purple EVH has made it this long and is still in good shape bodes well for it.

Yet it has to be said that the purple EVH's had a problem with fading. Much more so than most guitars. You don't see red EVH's or the amber ones all faded out. And it can't be that the only players gigging in the sun bought purple EVH's...

Again, that it still looks good means the color is pretty stable. I'd plan on keeping it out of sunlight for sure. And if it happens to fade, then at least the faded ones look pretty cool too.
