How do you plug EBMM?

I'm curious (what with the downright fanatical loyalty to this brand) if and how you tout your Balls to the world. It would be interesting to see how the viral networking works. And I have to assume I'm not the only one doing it, or being affected by the virus. Truly, had it not been for stumbling upon this site, I would not have the Balls I have.

EDIT: Oh, and I plug EBMM with complete free will and for no other reason than to draw attention to this excellent brand. I don't get anything from it other than my own warm fuzzies for finding, exploring, owning and playing the Balls I have.

EBMM makes it easy to plug them because they're a good company to deal with and have good products. Also, since I use their products quite a bit, it's easy to speak with conviction about why they work for me. I actually turned down a speaker cabinet endorsement one time (something I thought I wouldn't do until it actually happened) because I just wouldn't use it enough to justify it for that company. Maybe that'll change, but I want to physically use the products and let the product speak for itself.

As a teacher, I get gear questions constantly. And I know that students take gear consults with their instructors very seriously and usually act on those. That's one reason I try to only recommend products which I use and have good experience with. I use EB strings for every guitar and always recommend them to everybody as a result. I also use my MM guitar for monthly student shows (where teachers sub in for various parts) and for clinics and workshops I've done. The instrument definitely speaks for itself in those settings. And with my Dargie Bongo coming in the future, people are going to see and hear a lot more EB/MM stuff.

I also have a HUGE EB wardrobe, ha ha! One time I was just walking through the EB booth at NAMM and Sterling stopped me after seeing my EB shirt and said he appreciated me wearing the EB stuff and took me over to get a couple of more shirts. That's nice and generous. But honestly, between my EB and Raleigh Music Academy shirts, that's all I ever wear. I own the place, so that's the dress code.

The cool thing about playing EBMM instruments is that they are not saturating the market. Each EBMM instrument has it's own unique vibe and look and you would be hard pressed to easily compare one, visually, to another company's model.

I've used EBMM for over 15 years and lost track of how many times people at gigs come up to ask about the guitar I'm using.....which, of course, opens the door for me to direct another guitarist to the company.

Most of my fellow musicians always enjoy the chance to check out my balls. Recently, I real good buddy of mine came over to my house to hang out and say goodbye before we moved. I had just received my AL and he immediately scooped her up and fell in love. He was a strat man for as long as I can remember and he was amazed by the AL.

I let my buds check out the guitars and that's all it usually takes...

I have a pretty good collection of EB shirts that I wear all the time. I love all the reaction to the E + B = \m/ shirt. People comment on that one all the time.

Unfortunately, I really don't around here (Omaha, Nebraska). I've shown my AL to a couple buddies, who both loved it, but there aren't any good dealers in this town at all anymore, much less one that even stock EBMM. Music stores in this town have gone downhill so much in the last year it isn't funny.

Here is a little story, I will try not to be long and stay on subject.

I work at a music store which I have trying to get to carry EBMM guitars and basses for about 2 years now. My boss is a piano sales guy, so he doesn't get it too good. I keep telling him how great this products are and he himself has played my Silo Sp and loved it. What turns him off are the prices. He wants me to sell inexpensive guitars because supposedly that is all we can sell. I get so frustrated because EBMM is such a great company to deal with. And as far as I am concerned make the most comfortable, usable, and beautiful guitars on the market.

Any way back on track. I usually bring one of my balls to work with me just in case I have a chance to play. I usually have it in a stand behind my desk. You won't believe the amount of attention this guitars get and usually people start asking me questions about my guitars. All it takes is them asking one question about anything to do with the guitar and I go off on this sales pitch of MM guitars. I try not to let my boss hear me because he probably would not be to happy with me giving a whole speech on a guitar that we don't carry. I can't help it though I wished that every one knew how great this guitars are. I know this is not very professional but what can I say more than a sales person I am a guitar player, so when fellow musicians ask me what I think is the best I tell them with all honesty. Maybe my boss will notice this and give EBMM a chance in out store, hopefully.

I totally digged Music Man's strategy (post above, not the company). Bring in a Ball that the store can't get, just to tease them at what they could get.

Andrea my girlfriend and the other half of Memphis Belle is using my red Silo on a few songs.she always puts on a cute face to avoid bring her Pacifica to a gig.she loved the SUB too and i think got a bit miffed i didnt give her it for being there n all

The only thing you need to say.

A friend and I (he owns three working on four EBMM's) and myself (I own two working on four EBMM's) work in a bar that has live music seven days a week. Whenever someone comes in playing a F****r or a G****n we just make sure to have our EBMMs there and say only this: "It takes a real man to enjoy playing with balls."

The rest we leave up to them, and is as they say "history".

Note: We've swayed at least two, if not more people to join us in ball-loving glory.

At least once every two weeks, I find an "excuse" to bring my ASS to work...can't leave it in the hot car, need it to try out an amp, etc. He'll come into my office to discuss something, and without either of us missing a beat of conversation, I casually take it out of the case and hold it out to him and he casually takes it from me and starts to noodle while we talk. After about five minutes, he stops, says something about the neck being amazing, then suddenly looks really uncomfortable and hands the guitar back to me and leaves. I swear, he acts like a married guy who suddenly realizes his daughter's best friend is flirting with him, and he's been flirting back . It messes him up so much, I almost feel bad, but we'll get him.
