I registered my stingray after I bought it back in April and still no strings. I figured it would take a while but this is more than I thought. How long did it take for you guys to recieve your free strings in the mail?

Send them an e-mail with your serial # and they will handle it promptly. I had the same thing happen. Sterling Ball answered the e-mail and took care of it asap. Also have in mind what kind of EB strings you want. They shipped me what I asked for, not what they chose.

hmmmmm ....
I got a new Ray last week (from bass central) and there was no mention of free Strings on the reg card or on www.ernieball.com/mmonline/registration (i registered it online). i just assumed they stopped giving strings away

i was actually pretty stoked on the idea of getting free strings too ...
I got a new Sterling about 2 years ago and totally remember getting a set when i registered it.

i got jacked :(

As far as I recall, I didn't have anything mentioned about free string on the card, or the registry site. To be honest I wasn't expecting anything, I just saw the register your bass thing and figured "what the hell, might as well boast the fact that I'm using a Music Man". Few weeks later, big brown package with free strings and the customary 'thank you ' type note. I was so pleased and surprised. They still sit in one of my bass cases and I'm planning on stringing into my SUB soon enough.

....man EBMM rocks.

Oh well, if theyre not giving away strings for registering any more its ok, I use DRs anyway, but I wanted to give the stainless steel EBs a shot, and what a better time than when you get them for free lol

I realize this thread is old, but I, too, have not recieved my strings yet for my Sterling I bought back in March. I sent in the reg card AND on the internet. Any advice?? I have held off buying new strings elsewhere in anticipation for the Slinkys.

Thanks!!

Did your registration card say anything about free strings? If it didn't you won't get them. We haven't been offering that in a while.

I was told there would be finger food, too, and someone take a look around and see if there's a single effin' sandwich in this hellhole.

BOYS that send you strings in exchange for your email and bullsh@t was discontinued a long time ago. it was a name harvest that most lied about and the brain surgeon that thought it up is hawking special strings that he doesnt make on the internet now. draw your own conclusions

I know you are 17 but how about a little more sensitivity.

Who said you got free strings? Send me anything that said you got free strings and you'll get em. But really this is a great chance for you to communicate like an adult

I did read that some where on one of the papers i got from eb when i bought my bass. i have it no longer but im sure i can go find it at one of the basses at the music store. I remember when my bass first arrived from eb and i took it home from the shop the guy told me if you registar it you get a set of free strings and he pointed it out on a paper that came from eb.
