I know you are 17 but how about a little more sensitivity.

Who said you got free strings? Send me anything that said you got free strings and you'll get em. But really this is a great chance for you to communicate like an adult

Sorry, I just had to pick myself up off the ground I was laughing so hard.

You know, sometimes I sit here with my finger hovering over the "delete" button, just quivering and thinking, and I usually decide to just wait it out and see if things take a turn for the better....

...which they almost never do.....

...but I am SO glad I have learned to leave the delete button alone.

Life is one big lesson. The hard part is learning to recognize the opportunities to learn.

Just bought a Bongo 5 last weekend. The tag mentions nothing about free strings. If I had a camera, I'd post a picture of it.

http://www.ernieball.com/mmonline/registration/

Makes no mention of free strings either.

If it ain't in writing...

Along the line of strings but otherwise out of context, I've been in two different stores in the last 3 days and nobody has Slinky 5's in stock. :( What's up? Is this a supply problem or just a local ordering issue. Ended up getting some Dean Markely strings instead. Never used these so this will be something new.

the big point people miss here is that this is something EB used to do and stopped doing somewhere along the lines (BP gave a reason above)

people that work at guitar shops etc probably arent aware that the promo is dead ... anywho, you paid over a grand for a new bass - make the store toss in a set of strings. GC, love em or hate em, is actually pretty cool at tossing in some small stuff when u make a large purchase

I find the ignore feature comes in handy.

Thanks for the info. The tag did say free strings, but if the promo is dead, no biggie or love lost. My Sterling's shexxxy tone more than makes its daddy smile no matter what, free strings or not :D

I think I'm kinda to blame for the promo ending. I think it was about a year and a half ago, maybe two, when I decided to register(online) all my EBMM's at once, since I never bothered to in the past. I ended up getting about three boxes of strings, three sets of 7-strings and one set of Silhoutte bass strings. I think after shipping that order to me, the EBMM overlords said "nerts to this promo," and killed it.

Sorry Guys! :(

Hey guys,
Dan over at EB just e-mailed me and said that my registration had gone through on their website (twice) but I never got strings either. I bought my Ray in September and took delivery in November. He honored my request for strings although that promotion is long dead. I love this company! Thanks EB!

When I bought my SR5 (which was stolen :() I sent in my card but never rec'd the strings. It's not really a big deal for me. I just now remembered reading this thread.

It would've been nice ;)

If that the problem wow. Everybody says that were i live and no body cares. Im not against gay people if thats what your thinking but the reasoning behind you'll being angry or whateva emotion you feel is completely puzzling to me

dude, settle down. that "ban for life" button just keeps getting bigger on jack & jon's keyboards every day!

if they really want to ban me go ahead because i dont see why they wanted to ban me in the first place so to me if they ban me it confirms to me that they are A$$holes and thats what I would tell everybody about EB Services. And I can always make another name

#1- EB services are regarded as the best in the biz. Good luck on your one man crusade to end that.

#2- Make another name, too bad they can ban your IP address.

#3- You are an asshat.

Well, for one thing you can watch your language. Maybe think before you type? That would be a good start.
