Hi all,

Im new to this forum. I will be ordering my first EBMM AXIS in a few days, I dont live in the US and would like to know if Im getting ripped of by my Local distributor hahaha. I will be ordering a AXIS (FLOYD) Tabacco Burst with matching headstock.

For my order to ship to my country would take 4-8 months *sigh*.. And they are charging me $25XX (I converted it to US Dollar). Okay, i just want to know what you guys think.. Is it a okay deal? worth the wait and price? Im somewhere in Asia, I cannot say where coz its easy to trace where im getting the guitar. You don't need to tell me how much you got yours if its not allowed here, just let me know If im getting ripped off, Please do PM if you want.

Thanks in Advance
Ed

Dude forum rules, no price posting only MSRP. Just ask people to PM you about pricing to see if you are getting ripped off.

As far as I know, it's forbidden by forum rules to post street prices here(so I advise you to edit your post before the moderators do)!
But that price does seem too high, but it depends what country you're from.
So what country are you from? (if it's not a secret :))

That price would appear to be pretty much what I have seen advertised in various place for a new Axis in the UK, so I don't think it's a rip-off if you live there.
Take a look at a few websites like Guitars4you - specialist in fine new and used classic guitars or Strings Direct - Online Guitar Strings and Accessories to compare prices.
The others are of course right about the ban on posting dealer prices on the forum

Thanks for the Info.! Well technically i did convert it US dollar so I never really posted the actual amount. Anyway, Im really going to buy the guitar.. just want to justify the amount Im paying.

Cheers!

Edhansil....I notice you've edited your post to give your location as Asia....so ignore my last post.
I'd guess since the price you quoted would be average for the UK , then it's not excessive for your location.
Sadly EBMMs are expensive items outside the USA

4-8 months is about right. They are built to order and not off the shelf items. The good thing is that you know this guitar is built specifically for you :)

The price thing has been done to death, basically, if you are going to buy a product outside of the country of manufacture, it will always cost more.

Howdy, welcome to the forum.

Since you now know you're not supposed to talk about prices - I know you meant no harm, you can research thru other avenues, to determine the reasonable price of an instrument.

In addition, (lol, lol, lol, ) your talking to a lot of people here (I included) that think MM guitars are in theory "priceless"!

Enjoy your new Axis - :)

Do you think the price is too high?

Sorry dude I'm in the US, so I am no help here. :(

Good luck, what place are you placing your order thru?? Maybe others from Asia has used them and have opinions about them, just a thought.
