When perusing the internets for researching the Bongo, I've noticed that there's WAY more HH configured Bongo's out there than HS versions. I've rarely seen and HS on eBay and was wondering how rare the HS versions are? Are they produced in lower quantities? Anyone know a good online source that sells them? Thanks!

It's just "big box" marketing "wisdom". In the world
at large, the dual humbucker is a long standing and
familiar sight, an archetype if you will. While the HS
[aka SH depending on maker] config is NOT, despite
its being around, here and there, for decades. Since
big box operators follow the dictates of the "muddle
of the road" and "lowest common denominator", our
world is flooded with HH, such that HS almost looks
as if it's some kinda geekish sooper secret. I spoze
that over time, that is becoming a geeky reality.

I would say HH is your most common, HS more rare but not impossible to find and H is the rarest. A piezo seems to be very rare in and configuration.

I'd tend to agree with mmbassplayer. I see more HHs than HS, and more of both of those than single H (though, lately, I've seen a few single Hs up for sale!). Piezos do seem pretty rare, but I love that option - just wish it was available on a 6er. I want to get my hands on a 5Hp model at some point - like I'll ever see THAT used.
