Hey guys.
I called EB with the serial number (85992) and I was told that it is definately listed as an EVH model....
But, this guitar is like no other I've seen.
It has a stop tail, contoured neck, matching headstock.
The weird thing is that it does not have the signature on the headstock.
I asked a few dealers of EBMM, and they all said that they never made EVH guitars with stop tails.

Now, is this just because of EVH parting ways with Ernie Ball and them not being able to put his name on the guitar when he went over to Peavey?????
Thanks for any help. I'm going to call EB later and see if they can help tell me the production numbers on guitars like this.

Here's a few pics of the guitar.

Thanks,

Incorrect, they DID make EVH guitars without the floyd and a stop tail instead. Our own Tim O'Sullivan has two of them. But his have the EVH sig on the headstock, odd that this one doesn't have it.

Tim's EVH guitars pics here(hope you don't mind tim :) ):

Look at the nut.
It's not an EVH...

Perhaps you didn't pay attention.

The s/n does show an EVH built on 6/28/95...The headstock may have been refinished or something like that...Maybe an EX??

Answer

EBMM Made 600 Stoptails- 200 of each of the following color
Transgold
Transpurple
Transred

After Ed left there were a number of finished models in both the trem and hardtail but they had not re-named it yet- So they still shipped them out to be sold which they were- without the ed signature decal-

I know this for a fact because I am a EBMM EVH guitar collector freakazoid-

It's an EVH without the decal-

Please contact me if you ever want to sell it-

You are the man...
Out of curiosity, not that I'm selling it ;) , how much would it sell for?
It's in excellent condition, and plays like a dream. There are 2 very small belt scratches on the black paint on the back next to the electronics cover.
Thanks a million for your input.

Thanks-
Pinks are my favorite- Probably because they are rare and I like brighter colors for tops-
