That's probably the way I'm going to go. Just thought I'd investigate this Craigslist stuff too.

I'm halfway tempted to try out this store like Catherine Keener's store in "The 40 Year Old Virgin" where they sell your stuff for you on EBay, but it seems kind of scary.

Assuming that you've already chatted-up all your fellow gear junkies, music store contacts, etc ..... I would say evilbay is probably the best bet. :)

im lazy and dont like having to hunt a big enough box or go down to the UPS store. so, in the rare occassion that i sell stuff i use craigslist.

when a potential buyer come by i make sure to have a few friends around and hide the rest of my gear :)

Well...you know...I don't want to sell the items here, because they're non-EBMM. Plus, I'm not really a very active member of any other forum. Well, we'll see. I'll look at the idea of selling on a forum.

TGP = The Gear Page?

what's HRI?

Rob, the Gear Forum is a great place and you really don't have to be a major particant.

The Gear Page - Powered by vBulletin

I've used Craigslist, the good part of that is that it's local and you don't need to worry about shipping your stuff.

Good luck man, Glenn |B)

Thanks, Glenn. Just signed up on the The Gear Page.

Hoping to fund a 2007LE. I've narrowed it down, I think, to JP6, Bongo 5HH, Bongo 4HH, Bongo 4HS, Luke. Who knows? Maybe, if I sell enough stuff, I can get a BFR JP6. :D

Hahahahahaha, Rob, good luck. I have a feeling that an 07 LE is out of my reach this year.

i always go ebay, i dont mind shipping overseas, and most of the time i get more bids and a higher price by doing so.

i have sold a ton of guitars over seas...i agree w/ you in the fact that allowing those people to bid, increases your chances of selling, and possibly making more $$$

If you're in need of a shipping box for a guitar, check your local guitar store. My local one sells guitar boxes for $10.00. I just add the price in to my auction.

If your the sender theres not much to worry about. You fill out a card saying what the item is and its value. I assume thats for taxes on the import. And box it up and send it off just like a regular US package. That and it costs a bit more.
