Anybody have a source for the Ernie Ball "How To Play Guitar Phase 1" books? I am looking for about a dozen of them, as I am going to start teaching a guitar class next week, and it seems like EVERYONE has them backordered. Even amazon.com seems to be running dry.

My second question is about the content of this book. Is the book equal parts tab and notation, or heavy on one or the other? I would prefer to give my students at least a start on note reading, and I don't particularly want them to default to reading the tablature because they perceive it to be "easier."

thanks!

s6,
you can get our Phase 1 How to Play Guitar books at your local Ernie Ball dealer. Any music dealer in your area that has an account with us can order the books at anytime. Just let your dealer know how many you need, and they can call us!
As for content ... tab, notation, ryhythm, and chords are all smeared evenly throughout the book. Each is explained for begginer students to be able to grasp onto. Tab is used as an introductory lesson, and then notes/sight reading is emphasized throughout the rest of the book. You should find it incredibly useful for one-on-one or group teaching.

If you have any other ??s, or need help finding a dealer feel free to contact me!
