I actually like the scuffs as it shows the instrument is being used as long as it isn't battered it looks good, that's my opinion anyway.

Nice! I'll have to give this stuff a try. All my guitars get this. I prefer to keep my nails short for general playing but I'm constantly needing my nails for hybrid picking stuff.

Just remember elbow grease. It will take a few applications to start seeing progress.

I use Meguire's Swirl Mark Remover on my EBMM with microfiber towels - it works perfectly (although requiring a lot of elbow grease). You can then finish it off with a coat of the NXT polymer if you really want a deep shine.

Remember to tape off the pickup cavities so product doesn't get into the spaces.

I agree that authentically earned "relic-ing" makes a guitar look better...but it sho don't increase it's resale value.

These were quite deep scratches hence my question could you not feel them after it was done?
No I can't feel anything at all.
The scratch wasn't down to the wood otherwise I would not have got the end result.
Take a look at this video clip which shows no evidence of the scratch.
VVVVVVVVVVVV

When I redid my JP6 I discovered that the top coat of lacquer is quite thick.

This thread shows the full details of me doing the work on the Albert:-
