I have a quick 1 minute track I'd like for my fellow buds to hear here at the EB forum but I can't get it to go through. I saved it to my hard drive from my Boss BR864 but when I try to post it it tells me it is too big. Windows media player tells me it is 59 seconds long and 10.0mb in size. How can I get it to post?? Thanks for the help!

10.0mb in size

There's your answer, bud...EB's site only lets you post a max of like 500KB or so (that number could be incorrect, but mostly sure that you can't post huge attach's to the post, etc.)

You may have to look at posting that file on a web area, ie your web space through your Internet provider, then copy/paste the direct link to the post. That's how the other folks pull this off.

Hope this helps!

Sounds like it's in wav format. 10 megs is pretty big for an mp3.

You might have some mp3 conversion software, which should greatly reduce the size.

Thanks TV. I'm gonna try a suggestion from DW first and see it that will work. Hopefully I'll get it to go!

Hey there:

Helping out my man musikarero; the boy may not know much about computers (that's where my 10 years of tech support comes in), but he can sure play the six...nice jam, dude! :)

mp3 format, page that opens links to the mp3, and will either open in new window, or download to your desktop/designated download area.

Darrell thanks for all your help and thanks for the compliment too! I just recently got a Boss BR-864 and like computers I don't know how to use it properly yet...LOL...that is why I did just a quick 1 minute track to see how it would sound. I used the amp tones in the unit to do the recording. Thanks again... :)

Dude. Not totally my bag, but that is fluid as hell. Tones are sweet too.

what I meant to say is: that mixing of honkey tonkin' and rockin' is something I'd love to learn how to do better.

Yeah, that's a nifty little unit that you recorded through. I have its predecessor (BR-8, records to Zip disks), and that thing rocks. Very easy to get the hang of...I'd like to update to the CD version (with the built in 40GB hard drive to record to)

Good stuff, man!

Yes I did Art. I forgot to mention that. I played the rhythm and the really terrible bass track with the trans gold AL, and the solo part was with the blue pearl AL. My timing on the track is off a lot but I wanted to see how the levels were for future recordings. DW I agree about the upgrade to the Boss with the CD burner. I wish now I would have gotten that one but I'm having a blast with the 864. Orange all the tracks were recorded using the internal amp programs. I thought the tones were pretty cool too. Thanks for the nice compliments...:)

Jesus man, so that's what I could've sounded like had I not concentrated on learning computers?

Crap.

Get your ass into the studio man. And find a producer as good at her/his job as you are at yours. I'll buy a CD.

Or hell, move to Denver and I'll record you.

Hmmm, some kinda problem with the site - Safari says it can't connect to the server. Plus when I ping it, I get duplicate responses - weird...

Dave,

Give 'er another run...should be in order now.

We had some weird net congestion in downtown Phx today (where our NOC is based), but should be OK, including in Safari (here on the Mac side with ya brotha!) :)
