Hello

It's 0h50 here in Paris and I had a very nice day ...
I spend the day visiting Paris with my son (I live in the suburbs of Paris, so my kids do not know yet all the monuments of Paris). We visited the towers of Notre Dame, we did a trip on a boat on the river Seine ... The real tourists !

A 16h we decided to go home. I just wanted to stop in a music shop in the center of Paris (Total Music for the guys who know Paris). I just had to buy some strings.
This shop is open now for 2 or 3 years. They have a SUB (with 2 humbuckers and a tremolo). 3 years ago, the price was normal that means high (Music Man are expansive in Europe :(...). They did no succeed to sell it. This poor SUB was collecting dust :(.
Last month, they decreased the price. I began to be interested ... Now, it's the clearance sales ... so the price was really nice. I thought : if I don't buy it, I will regret it all my life. So of course I bought it. :D

17h30 : in my home. I just took 5 minutes for taking photos. After that, I play a small hour ...

20h : rehearsal with my band. Of course I take my new SUB.

Midnight : end of the rehearsal. I am exhausted (I wake up at 6 every morning ...). But Happy. :):):)
Really, the SUB is a very nice guitar : nice sound, nice look, ergonomic ... It's really a shame that Music Man stopped the production.

Conclusion : a perfect day and now I have TWO BALLS.

Sorry guys : you will have to wait tomorrow for the pics, I am really too tired (I know : without pics this thread is useless ;)!)

Thanks again for producing such nice guitars.

Bonne nuit (good night)

Cool! I was in Paris, France a year ago or so and I couldn't find a music shop there. I lived in Messy or something like that. Anyway I really enjoyed being in Paris, but one thing was kinda annoying: it's so hard to find a shop in central part f town and what's harder...is to find one open after 7 PM :)

All right, now it's time to show your stuff here :) We're waiting for pictures :D

One of my favourite days ever was in Paris !

Spent one cold, clear day in particular checking it all out on foot,
Checked out heaps of those little stores, plus the usual attractions.
Then Jean Claude Van Damme fell in my wife's lap while trying to remain anonymous on the Arc de Triomphe. (He's SO little !)

Topped it off by getting the top of the Eiffel Tower to ourselves while I got my knee dirty and proposed overlooking Paris by night.

She said Yes

Sorry to bore you with this pointless hijack ! :D (the title just brought back some memories !)

I think you were living in Massy, in the south of Paris. There are not a lot of music shops in Paris. Most of them are in a district in the north called Pigalle (near the Sacre Coeur)
Pigalle is famous for two kinds of shops :
  • Music shops
  • Sex Shops
So, when you say : I go shopping in Pigalle, you have to be precise, especially I you say that you are looking for BALLS or an ASS :D:D:D

After 7 PM in France, the only shops opened in France are the restaurants and the Pub. Fortunately we have plenty of them.
Pics are coming soon !

Actually, Total Music is open until 8pm, Monday through Saturday. It's the biggest music store in Paris, good prices on strings, good repair guy (Nicolas) at very good prices, the brass section is run by a great guy from Dublin (of all places), and they have a good selection of EBMM t-shirts. That said, I think the Sub was the last Ball guitar they've had in there for quite some time and they don't sell EB single strings. :(

Would be an excellent place for a clinic, Aymeric. I think Tony is guy to talk to in there.

François, felicitations on the new edition to the famille, mais elle n'existe pas sans photos!!
