How would I go about getting a different neck for a Ray?

I've been looking into getting a Ray 34, which is basically a Stingray. However, there's a few problems. First of all, I hate their color selection. I'd like it to have a Maple Neck, but the ones that do have one are the Tobacco burst and Natural colors, neither of which I'm a big fan of. Ideally, I'd like to get an all black one with rosewood and fit a Maple neck. Secondly, I don't like the thickness of the necks. It's something I can live with, but I'd prefer to have a thinner one, and maybe one from a Sterling would do. So where can I purchase these, and how would I fit it on? 6 bolt necks are beyond Warmoth.

You would be better off saving your money and simply buying a Stingray set up how you like or a Sterling. All of the things you listed, can only be bought if someone like a private seller is selling his bass is pieces but with the price of what you would need plus your bass, you could get a Stingray or Sterling for not much more and it won't be a Frankensteined bass.

You need a Stingray SLO, a 'Ray with a Sterling neck.

You can't buy new EBMM necks - basically they'll do a part exchange if your bass has a damaged one.

As has been said, an SBMM Ray CA34 (mint green or coral red are the colours available I think) as a new bass. Or you could buy a used Sterling, Stingray or (very rare I guess) Stingray with an SLO neck (basically a Ray with a Sterling neck). They are not too much more expensive than a new SBMM on Ebay.

Or save for a new EBMM bass then you can order a Ray with an SLO neck in the colour and neck spec you want.

as mentioned - Music Man does't sell their necks and other "vital" parts.

Ah, the SLOs. Man would I like one of those bad boys. They're way out of my price range though, and even a regular EB Ray is a little expensive. As for the Ray34CAs, I'm just not digging the color. Do they make SLOs with only one humbucker?

Yes. I have SLOs in each configuration (H, HH, & HS).
