Well, at least it comes with free shipping!

My favorite part is the caption on the very first review:

"Don't be fooled by the cheap price"

:D :D :D

I love the fact that so many wisecrackers took the time to write bogus reviews of that listing... hahaha!

Good thing is that it's "Guaranteed Lowest Price!". I had seen one on Ebay for $95,000 and thought it was a little high....:D

the review that starts with this

Jun 9, 2006 - I recently bought this guitar again, because I foolishly pawned off the first to buy some smokin' heroin. I know I should have known better, but I figured drugs were what made Slash (from Guns n' Roses) such an influencial guitarist. Sadly, I was wrong....

is even more huh!?!

So, I went to Martin factory in Nazareth, PA a few months ago to get my guitar serviced and I saw one of these as well as one of the D-45 Celtic Knot models (only $35K list) and the workmanship is simply stunning.

That's $22,000 off list price! (no, I didn't fail math, the Martin list price is $109,999.)

This is hillarious.

I knew about the guitar because I'm a fan of Martin guitars, but can you imagine someone buying this thing?

Off an internet site?

Having it shipped UPS?

They're nuts to think anyone would buy it from them.

The thing about these high end Martins is the artwork on the inlays and the mistique. I've played all the series (except the D-100 and the D-50) and they all have a very similar characteritic tone and feel. They are very consistent - there's no mistaking a Martin in a room of other instruments - mine projects past anyone I play with who's got another brand of acoustic.

Here's the details on this one:

You know at first, I thought that maybe that was a glitch on Musician Friend's website...but good god that is the actually list price of the guitar. However, those reviews were quite entertaining, lol. :D
