I am NOT a pro at these things, but I used to get the same "hum" with mine. I found that I was close to my amp (facing it) and getting a hum even with the volume down. I also sit in front of a computer when I play and had the "hum". I moved away from these things and it went away. Could that be your problem...sitting in front of the amp or computer? Try moving if it is......don't mean to sound dumb here, but that is what my prob was and it went away when I moved away from these things. Hope this helps.

Yeah, but he's expriencing the hum with the volume on zero, so the problem doesn't sound like the pickups/electronics are amplifying noise.

Maybe there's a short somewhere and the hot output to the guitar is being grounded? Like when you touch the end of your guitar cable (hot and ground together) and it hums.

Do you get a normal signal from the guitar with the volume up?

Just gathering from what everyone else has tlaked about , the question would be this: are you using the exact same everything else with this guitar in the mix, ie. same guitar cord going to amp, pedals, etc.? Any changes in the variable there?

If all are the same, and you can pinpoint it to just this guitar that causes the issue, then one would be lead to believe that this could be a wiring/ground issue in that specific six. IF you're handy with it, have at 'er. If not, then I would suggest to have your friendly neighborhood guitar tech take a peek at 'er, or talk with the good folk at EBMM, maybe have them do it for you (esp. if it's under warranty, do not pass go, do not collect $200, go directly to EBMM!)

My take, as I said, after everyone else weighed in. Correct me as needed. Oh, and good luck with your issue! :)
