How are our Texan friends doing down there?

I bleeb Rita is moving up too, but my US geography isn't the best.

Hope you all get through it OK, wherever you are.

Jeffery over on the guitar forum is the furthest south, but he's close to San Antonio so no problem there. Jack and I are in the DFW area and I don't even think we are going to get any rain from this. Too bad, we need it.

Everything's fine here in the Baton Rouge metro area. A lot of wind & rain, but nothing too different from a typical summer storm.

We're Ok, Thank God Rita collapsed just before it reached us ; We caught just a little of the west side, a few downed trees, etc. All ended well here.

I'm in Eunice LA (right dab in between New Orleans and Houston... great location for this hurricane season, eh?). Didn't get the massive floods and gloom and doom as predicted, but had a nice little power surge that zapped out my kitchen and living room outlets ...washer, dryer, stove, tv, xbox, and DSL modem are dead. (God I hate dial-up!)

Don't know how, but fridge and computer survived the shock.

Most importantly, my bass rig was unplugged and survived. it is still ready to receive my Sterling come mid-November!

Welcome to the board! I've played in Eunice many times (Liberty Theater, Northwest Community Center Pavillion).
