Hypothetical 25th Anni pricing question

I didn't even know that GC still had any NOS 25th guitars left. Jeff actually pointed out those great 25th deals to me and I basically found them on-line and posted pics. Keith is the is true King of GC and a GC coupon master! I would think that the prices depend on the options that the guitars came with and how long they have been sitting/hanging in the stores. You can also see a big difference with their list prices. I think that things are slow now and just like with used gear, new gear isn't selling that much either and the other reason for the great deals.

Something that's interesting about Guitar Center..... They're so big that they sometimes "lose guitars in inventory", meaning that they have the guitars, but they just sit somewhere and are not shipped to stores. I was in one of the GC's near me and they had a bunch of brand new Michael Kelly somethingorother special guitars that were a GC exclusive. GC received these guitars 3 years ago and they just sat for some reason. By the time someone found them, they were old. The GC employee told me that there was no warantee for some reason...maybe because they were selling them as used. I wish I could delve into GC's database. I'm sure there are lots of cool Musicmans "lost" in the system.

There's something really special about this guitar. Seriously. Basswood an openly resonant wood as it is.... is now chambered. Plus a mahog tone block and string through hard tail design....

I can feel the resonance on my gut when I play. Fingers, to string, to guitar body, reverberating into my sides. Totally not joking.

This is absolutely right , there's something really special with this guitar ; I spent a week traveling in Florida last february, visiting most of great guitar shops in this state . The 25th is the one I brought back to Europe, amazing Axe !

Well there are some guitars you can tell are NOS like the 25th and some of the AL HH's for instance because of the color changes which is good to use as leverage for a good deal.

GC had a used one mislabeled as an Axis....at a used Axis price. I believe someone on this forum bought it a couple months ago. I believe it was a maple fingerboard. I thought about it.

If you're referring to the 25th that was advertised @ GC Tempe,Az. , I own it now. It was advertised as a 25th Ann. Axis SS. They had no clue as I got it for $1199(Used).When I say it is mint; I mean mint. If you hang it next to the "new" ones @ my local GC, you wouldn't be able to tell which was "used".All the wy down to the barcode sticker. I did some history on the guitar & found out that it was sent to Nashville for some country artist to try out. I guess it didn't look enough like a Tele. Ozzy scores again!!!!

yea Ozzy......that is an awesome score! and that is the ideal configuration for my tastes too. wish i had been shopping when that was available.
