If a certain big retailer had a used Pearl Blue Silhouette H/S/H w/trem in basically mint condition priced at 699, what price would one start his negotiation at and what should one expect the final price to arrive at? Hypothetically speaking that is...

It's cool, Roubster.. he's talking used guitar prices.

smallequestrian, I'd pay $650 for that in a hearbeat.. more if I really loved the guitar. But you gotta start lower than that.. are they including the hardshell case?

Well in that xase it seems like a good deal. If it's in mint condition than that's cool. Compared to what I payed for a Silo, but I DONT mind :D . I am extremely satisfied with it, and it blows everything I have played away!

Not sure on the hardshell case. I bought a bass once there that was marked 800, I started at 550 and got it for 620 with a new gigbag but that one is long gone. I won't be able to see the hypothetical guitar until Friday after work anyway. I have the feeling it may have been there for a while so they might be in the mood to deal.

Being that it is used....and if it has been there a while...start low...around $550 and see what happens. What is the worse they can say..."No"? I am sure you can get the axe at a lower price, but you have to be willing to let them counter with an offer higher, but it will most likely be lower than their asking price. Good luck.

Today is the last day of the month and I think they might be inclined to really make a deal.
$650 with case out the door.
Flash the cash and that bad boy is yours.

Hmm...If I am a good boy and get all my work done that I need to get done today, perhaps I should go then. Too bad its not at a store closer too me, I have to go across town to get this one.
