After a lifetime of using only D'Addario guitar strings on my electric, I noticed more and more that they sounded dead right out of the packaging. Just for grins I tried a set of Super Slinkys. Wow. May I say to "Ernie", and all of the faithful supporters, I apologize for my ignorance. Look out .....there's a new dog on the block.

I'm more into bass than guitar, but my guitar sings the best with Regular Slinkys. For me the top of the pop string for e guitar. Both thumbs up.

You can listen to a tune where I made two tracks with the guitar, one with wah and the other just clean (bass and drums are also in the mix).

Thanks Cell, I wish I had more time to produce stuff like that. My dream is to find musicians for doing that on stage, but here in the area people want to play surf songs or metal.. so I do :D

I used to use the same brand for the simple fact that my friends we're using them at the time. It wasn't until I got a little better on the guitar and was able to base my equipment on the sound, feel etc. that I wanted. Used Ernie Ball strings since, and came across their musicman guitars down the line. Haven't looked back since lol :)

Same here. I used them and another company's strings, but when i tried Slinky's they just 'fit'. Sound great and for whatever reason i tend to break them less often.
