That must be cool hanging out with Sterling himself. Guitar history icons in your neighborhood...... nice. I wish I lived near the factory. I would go to every open house and take a tour. How interesting that must be. Getting the pick of the litter and seeing your guitar born.

Jack doesn't even live in California. He lives in Texas, unless he's moved. He was invited there. That's when they gave him that Custom Flame Bongo.

Oh no, my friend, it can be very, very dangerous. Oh, it starts off innocently enough - "Got a few minutes? Can I call you?" And then, next thing you know, you end up being part of some sort of conga line or Rockettes routine involving duct tape and then SOMEHOW, quite nefariously, ALL MEMORY OF THE EVENT IS ERASED. And have you seen his outfits, this Sterling person?

Next thing you know, he's pulling you into his inner circle, involving you in plots to subvert the government and perhaps root for the California Angels.

Let's be careful out there, people.

Lisais,
Be careful with Jack. I am a very mellow, laid back , kind man who is trying to nurture Jack on his path through mid-life crisis. He doenst like my shirts but this is a man with a purple music room. I can assure you that none of my rooms are purple, I dont wear the bass like a necklace, but I do root for the Angels.

They haven't been the California Angels in 10ish years. Then they became the Anaheim Angels. Now they are the ridiculously and somewhat confusingly named Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Lisa,

Few, if any of us who went to the Open House, live near the factory. Rod Trussbroken came all the way from Brisbane, Australia!

Obviously you aren't obsessed enough yet... :D

Yea after I wrote that I saw he is from Texas. That is commitment to the sound.

I am gonna have to travel and tour the factory some day. I bet it is even more fun than touring Sam Adams and that included more free samples then I could drink.

BP I like the shirts more than the imagined purple room. Sorry bovine but in my head the purple room is a frightening place. I would however love everything you've got in it.

I'm just glad his daddy named him Sterling and not Melvin because I wouldn't want to play a Music Man Melvin.

I believe they are now called the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Mellencamp.

Wow, yeah, who could or would want to say anything negative about the Angels?

Last I heard from Dargin, those Angels were poised to play their first post-season game of the year against some team from New York, and he was sure they were going to win! Who could imagine saying anything negative about THAT? I ask you.

How did that go, Dargs? Thumbs up, I hope?

Credit where credit is due; someone used that line over at TB when the Angels changed their name the last time. I vowed to use it again some day!

Anyone else says anything even remotely negative about my Angels will get their IP addresses banned.

This is probably not a good time to bring up last night's game then...
