Title says it all but I was wondering if anyone here has dabbled or played classical guitar (since its a requirement for school) I'm looking for a decent playing instrument around 300-500 any suggestions??

I'll just mention that if you go for a cutaway, you'll sacrifice some volume. I bought an Ibanez for around 400 that has the cutaway and onboard pickup, looks nice and plays ok. Onboard is nice if you play live, but microphone gets the best sound recorded.

I've bought pavan guitars from Thomas Prisloe, and they are excellent. Made in Spain, all have at least solid tops and very nice traditional classical guitar tone. Also, Tom is a luthier of note who sets these up before you get them.
